FireRadar fuses NASA and NOAA satellite thermal detections (VIIRS) with official incident feeds from fire agencies in the United States, Canada, and Australia — the same sources professionals rely on.
How fast are alerts?
Monitoring is evaluated server-side and delivered as push notifications, typically within minutes of new satellite or agency data arriving.
Do I need to keep the app open to get alerts?
No — monitoring runs on FireRadar's backend, so alerts arrive even when the app is closed.
Which regions are covered?
Satellite fire detections are available worldwide, with detailed incident data — size, cause, containment — for the United States, Canada, and Australia. More regions are on the way.
Is my location shared?
Location is used only to center the map and evaluate proximity to your saved areas. It is never sold or shared. See our privacy policy for details.
